Need help with my STAHLEY/STARLEY/JOHNSON/HUBBARD/HENDERSON.YOUNGBLOOD Families . Charles F. STAHLEY came to the USA 1862-1864 from Switzerland. Born abt 1842-1844. His mother was Mary Lou or Lulu and father Joseph or Ben. It has been said he arrived in NY also SCOTTSDALE as a stowaway. Worked his way to AL. Left there for TX. Somewhere, either in AL, or along the way he met a widow (?) Mary Ann Evans THOMPSON and her son Willliam (Willie) Alonzo THOMPSON. They were married. And lived for a time at MC Kinney TX. They had the following children: Mary Lulu b 1870-1871 married J. S. Johnson in Erath CO TX 01 Jan 1890 Sallie (Emma Jane) b abt 1872 married #1 Henderson in Erath CO #2 Frank Youngblood John M. B 9 Jan 1879 married Mrs. Eddie Gamble in Erath CO Minnie B abt 1879 married W. S. Hubbard in Somervell CO Glen Rose Fred Evans b 2 Mar 1880 married Dora E. Conner 20 Jul 1902 in Erath CO Are there descendants from the JOHNSON< HENDERSON< YOUNGBLOOD<HUBBARD families out there? Surely, there are grandchildren or great grandchildren. I need help filling in the blanks. Where did Charles enter USA? Where was he naturalized? Why did he go by the name STAHLEY when later his wife went by STARLEY? Descendants do you have any information, photos, stories??? Or friends or neighbors of the above families can you give me any information? It was said that Charles changed his name to STARLEY after he arrived. However, all Erath census show him as STAHLEY. Also, he lived in LIMESTONE CO TX for awhile. There was also a STARLEY living there. Is this his uncle, brother, cousin? Mrs. Gamble had children by a previous marriage. Barto Gamble, of Hico, being one.
