Elreeta, Do you know where Texas Homestead Records are kept? I have asked at two County Clerk's Offices and was met with blank stares. On another occasion was told that almost everyone declared their place of residency a homestead. Your latest post is the first time I have seen it mentioned as a source for genealogical information.
