J. Chan Edmondson and John V. Sobieski have recently updated their website http://www.dhc.net/~revwar This site focuses on applications for pensions filed by widows of Revolutinary War military personnel who are not usually included in published lists of Revolutionary War personnel. "We are proud to announce the addition of Volume 19 of the series, Revolutionary War Period Bible Family & Marriage Records Gleaned from Pension Applications. The web site now includes the names from this new volume in the cumulative index. The index has been updated for Volume 19 for the surnames beginning "A" through "M". The remainder should be completed within a couple of weeks. Our series of publications contains an abstract of the Selected Records from Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty-Land Warrant Application Files, 1800-1900, Micro Publication M-805. It provides an index to all family names mentioned in the applications. Because the family records in these applications mention many different names, the alphabetical arrangement by name of soldier conceals thousands of genealogical clues of people with different surnames. These abstracts greatly enhance the value of the most important source for American Revolutionary War genealogy."
