Hi folks Sorry for the delay--I have been quite sick, so haven't been on the net. There were 31 voters in our poll on whether to have an election with one candidate for TX SC. Out of those, 3 voted yes to have the election anyway, the rest said no, so...... Since I have been feeling so poorly lately & have our daughter's wedding coming up in a few weeks, I am going to go ahead & step down. Shirley Cullum is officially our new TXGenWeb SC, effective immediately. Congratulations Shirley! My heart felt thanks to you all. I have enjoyed leading our fine state & volunteers for the past few years, & hope that I have made you as proud of me as I have been of you all. My thanks also go to Shirley Cullum & Elaine Martin. Bettie.... So sorry to hear you are having health issues. You will be in my thoughts for a speedy recovery and a most enjoyable wedding. I appreciate all the help, assistance, etc. you have given me and the TXGenWeb certainly reflects the hard work of you and your assistants. Thank you so much for your time and effors... I think Texas is the best state to conduct genealogy online and those results do not happen by accident. It takes tons of work and donated time to a worthy cause.
