And If You Did see the Ghost Walk in 2003, You will Not Believe How Wonderful it is Going to be This Year ! What is The Civil War Ghost Walk? A Walking Tour through Kaufman County's historic Poor Farm site, lighted only by candles, lanterns and campfires. Historic Impressionists & Actors, representing ghosts of persons who lived in 1864, reveal their life during the Civil War by stepping out of the shadows and telling a story. Some scenes are 5 Minutes long , others last a mere 30 Seconds. Some are Humorous, Many are Heart- warming, Others Graphically authentic, But Every Scene will Touch you Emotionally. The entire Site takes on an Enchanting Atmosphere during the Ghost Walk. What The Ghost Walk is NOT... It is Not a Haunted House - no one will jump out of the dark in hideous garb to frighten you. There will be no loud noises – only the voices of the Actors and Civil War period music. You will never be in danger of any kind. This is not meant to Scare you, but to Enlighten you to the history of the Civil War on a mature level, in a way rarely seen - Which brings us to this: The Ghost Walk is for Adult Audiences - it is NOT for Adolescents, nor Children. Because complete quiet is required on the Site to make the Ghost Walk work and enjoyable for the tours, & because the Subject Matter of the Scenes is Realistically Graphic and Adult in Nature, No Persons under 14 years of age will be Allowed on Ghost Walk Tours. Also, No Person Aged 14 – 18 Years will be Allowed on Tours Unless Accompanied By An Adult. - Sorry, but No Exceptions To This Can Be Made - *See Below For Info on the Wonderful Day of Children’s Activities We Have Planned Earlier that Same Day TICKET SALES (e-mail Kathey Kelley Hunt at kkhunt@mycvc.net or call me at 972-962 3890 for prices) Ghost Walk Tour Tickets are $ Per Person The Deadline for the First Round of Advanced Ticket Sales is May 30th.
