good off site link to give the patrons and let him know we will suggest his site as a link for the counties to post I received an email from Gerron Hite of The Texas Historical Commission with a link to their website. www.thc.state.tx.us This link is a good off-site link for information about Texas cemeteries that you may wish to include on your county websites. From Gerron's email: "The Texas Historical Commission has a designation program titled "Historic Texas Cemetery". We have designed over 950 cemeteries in the last 9 years. General information about these cemeteries and other non-designated cemeteries are on the THC website. We are obviously very interested in getting your readers and researcher to take the next step after recording the information on the gravestones to recorded the cemetery in the deed records as an additional layer of protection. This is accomplished by applying for the Historic Texas Cemetery designation." Have a good day! Shirley
