Think the TXGenWeb site heading is a bit lacking? Does it need to be a bit more eye catching? Maybe you would like to see the TXGenWeb have an updated look. You might think the visitors should immediately see something that tells them a bit about Texas. Whatever you think, the suggestion box is open. How about a TXGenWeb heading "contest"? We are fortunate that Texas has so many "icons" that make us think of Texas. Bluebonnets, a yellow rose, the Alamo, a "lone" star, longhorns, armadillos, a horned lizard, the song "Texas, Our Texas", pecan trees, cactus, cotton, crepe myrtle, chili, rodeos, round-ups, the state outline, even a flag that the rest of the country immediately recognizes. We have a lot of material to work with. Maybe you have never worked with graphics before but would like to learn....make this the opportunity you have been looking for. If you are good with graphics and would like to design a new heading using the Logo and colors we have at present, let your imagination soar and design several to submit. You might even know someone outside the TXGenWeb family that is great at this type of thing and would like to create something for us. * The creator will be given full credit for the graphic, but rememberthat the design will need to be permanently donated to the TXGenWeb. * We all work hard to help our fellow researchers by putting free genealogy online, so now lets "play" a little. Those who "can" will enjoy coming up with the designs, and those of us who "can't" will enjoy seeing everyone else's efforts. Submissions will be accepted beginning today and through Wednesday, April 25th and should be sent to Elaine mcstumped@suddenlink.net and Shirley shirlcullum@sbcglobal.net We will post all submissions on a page so that everyone can enjoy them.
