    1. [TXGW-NEWS] New Poll
    2. Shirley Cullum
    3. Hi Everyone, A few weeks back there was some discussion about patron donated material for the county websites and what should happen to those records in the event a CC leaves the project. A suggestion was made that a new rule should be made to address that issue. The proposed new rule would state that all patron donated material would be transferred to the new coordinator or the TXGenWeb. It would also state that information on an existing county website should not be removed by a new coordinator. Please send a private e-mail to one (or both) of us mcstumped@suddenlink.net or shirlcullum@sbcglobal.net to voice your opinion on this issue. This poll will remain open until midnight July 31st. Thanks, Shirley, Elaine, and Bettie

    1. [TXGW-NEWS] New Header
    2. Elaine
    3. Thanks Terri Brown! What a great header your graphic design makes. Hopefully within the next 2-3 days we will have all the pages changed to reflect our new look. Rootsweb is slowing us down with their ftp capabilities being on the blink, but as soon as possible we will have everything looking great with the new header. A BIG thanks goes to everyone that submitted their designs. Lets pat Billie Nichols Bennett, Clarissa Lloyd, and Kimm Antell on the back for a job well done with their submissions! It was a difficult choice for me since I liked them all! Elaine -- There is nothing more miserable in the world than to arrive in paradise and look like your passport photo.

    1. [TXGW-NEWS] SC Address
    2. Elaine
    3. I wanted to make everyone aware of a "generic" email address you can use for the TXGenWeb state coordinator. You might like to replace the state coordinator name with TXGenWeb State Coordinator and use tx@usgenweb.org as the contact address. This address will go to whoever the current state coordinator is, and you won't ever have to worry about updating the name/address when there is a new state coordinator. I for one am always looking for quick fixes such as this. Elaine -- There is nothing more miserable in the world than to arrive in paradise and look like your passport photo.
