I am researching the Harkreader and Douglass families in Guadalupe County. Cornelius Harkreader married Rhoda Douglass in Guadalupe County 30 April 1861 in the home of her parents William and Phoebe Douglass. When Rhoda applied for a Confederate Widow's pension W,P,H. Douglass and W.Pink Douglass signed a letter stating that they were present at her wedding to Cornelius. Are they brothers to Rhoda? I know that she had a brother called J.C. Douglass. All of the children of Cornelius and Rhoda were born in Guadalupe County.
