Rumor has it that they came down in a covered wagon in the 1860's to Seguin, Guadalupe, Texas. Sarah's parents also lived next to them according to the 1880 Census and their names were Thomas A. McBride and Dovey L. McBride, both born in Tennessee. Just wondered if Sarah McBride Phillips might be related to Mary Jane somehow being in the same county. Perhaps they all came down in a wagon train which was common for that time with the new land grants in Texas. Also, where is Dugger?
