Looking for information on the family of my gggrandparents Henry J. Woods (b1825 in SC) and his wife Mary "Polly" H. Wingo (b1823 in SC). Mary died at the home of her daughter Margaret "Maggie" (Woods) Hoard, the wife of Noah S. Hoard, in Sabinal, Uvalde County, Texas. Since Henry and Mary were enumerated on the 1880 Greene County TN Census, I suspect she died somewhere around 1885-1888. I believe Henry died in Guadalupe County, around Seguin, about 1883-1885. He married MARY "POLLY" WINGO 1845 in South Carolina, daughter of JOHN WINGO and MARGARET THOMPSON. He married BARBARA ANN FOX 04 August 1870 in Greene County, Tennessee, daughter of ISAAC FOX and RACHAEL CRADDOCK. She was born 1839 in Greene County, Tennessee. I believe both James and Barbara died in Guadalupe County. Children of JAMES WOODS and BARBARA FOX are: i. LEROY WOODS, b. 28 February 1878, Greene County, Tennessee; d. 10 July 1941, Humble, Texas. ii. RACHEL WOODS, b. 1873, Greene County, Tennessee; d. Humble, Texas. iii. MARY WOODS, b. 1876, married UNK and probably died around Luling, Texas. LEROY WOODS was born 28 February 1878 in Greene County, Tennessee,and died 10 July 1941 in Humble, Texas. He married IDA MAE EGNEW 08 February 1905 in Luling, Texas, daughter of JOHN EGNEW and MATILDA THOMPSON. She was born 30 December 1882 in Luling, Texas, and died 10 December 1961 in Humble, Texas.
