Hortencia, I searched <http://www.familyseach.org> for your unusual name SASSENHAGEN.This LDS file contains a massive amount of information and is searchable. The only SASSENHAGEN that I found in their US file was the marriage of AUGUST SASSENHAGEN and WILHELMINA BEILKE, in Omaha, NE on 12Jan1875. I did not try searching outside of the US. The search on web site <http://www.anchestry.com> for Texas only ,shows the deaths of ARTHUR O. SASSENHAGEN 14Sep1976 and ARTHUR SASSENHAGEN JR. 10Jul1986 , both in Guadalupe County. Rumor has it that they came down in a covered wagon in the 1860's to Seguin, Guadalupe, Texas. Sarah's parents also lived next to them according to the 1880 Census and their names were Thomas A. McBride and Dovey L. McBride, both born in Tennessee. Just wondered if Sarah McBride Phillips might be related to Mary Jane somehow being in the same county. Perhaps they all came down in a wagon train which was common for that time with the new land grants in Texas. Also, where is Dugger?

I'd appreciate if somebody living in the Guadalupe Co. area would do a look-up for me. I'm looking for the death certificate of Nancy Adeline (Davis) REEDY. She was born in 1836 in TN and died 1899 in Texas. She is buried at Highsmith Cemetery in Guadalupe Co. near Luling. She married William A. REEDY after 1860 and is buried next to him and some of her children. I've already looked into Caldwell Co. and found nothing, so I'm hoping to find something here. Her name was Ceola Wright. Her father was Moses E. Wright. She had two sisters, Minnie (Exer) Wright, who married Max Thompson and died in childbirth in 1904 (son, George Emory Thompson), Lovie Wright, who married W. L. Daniels (children, Fred Daniels, Wilburn Daniels, Carlton Daniels). My grandmother married John Claudis Amos about 1908 and had three sons, Claude Maurice, Athol Earl and Paul Lawrence (my father), born in 1909, 1911 and 1913- who are all deceased. Any information at all on any individuals in these families would be appreciated. My grandmother had three halfbrothers, George, Joseph and Daniel Wright. My grandmother's mother (Nannie Scott) evidently died soon after she was born (in 1888) and Moses Wright remarried in 1892.

Does anyone have knowledge of long lost grandfather, James Preston Hall? Thought to have been born in San Antonio around 1885 and raised in Seguin. Believed to have been a salesman when he moved to Douglas, Arizona. Married a woman, think her last name was Jubrea and had a daughter. He then married gramma (Maria Hamilton) in Tombstone about 1926. Gramma had a son by a previous marriage - my father, Luis Hamilton, who was raised by James P. Hall and took his surname without the benefit of adoption, he was the only father my father ever knew. Daughter Augusta was married in the town of Guadalupe on 17 August of 1852. That's all that I know of them. Seeking where they came from in Germany and what may have happened to them after 1860.
