Sounds like we may have the same boy here, but --- I have him married first to Sarah Jane Foster of Walker County, Texas, in 1869, and then after her death to Frances McIver. I do not have the first marriage that you do. Not saying he didn't , but no one in the family has had a record of it. John P. and his new wife (who had been married previously) moved to Hill County, Texas, where he died in 1925. His oldest son by his first wife, James William, was my grandfat her.
