Hi, I would like to add a few words about this subject. If the history book you are planning for Grimes county is going to be like the book in 1981, then I'm all for it & have a great deal of info on my Bennetts, Roans, Ratliffs to add to it. My Roan line was in the first book and that really was a big help in my genealogy research. Now, if you are talking about something like that pictorial book Grimes county did a few years ago, count me out! That was the biggest disappointment I've ever seen. They had over 800 pictures submitted & only used a little less than 300 in the book. What a waste! !!! It made me very sad & angry that so much genealogy was in their hands & not published. So, if it is to be a History Book of Grimes co., Texas Vol II I would look forward to reading the family histories & submitting my families. Please let us know 1. If there is going to be a Grimes co Tx history book vol II. 2 Who do we send our family histories to & by what date. 3 What is the cost. Most of the time so many books have to be sold before the book is published. I vote "yes" on the History Book of Grimes co.,Tx Vol II"! Ruth
I, too, would be very interested. There was nothing in the prior book about my family names: Perry (there was information about some other families); Turner, Gressett, etc. I have done a great deal of research, and could make some contributions.
