My great-great-grandfather Fielding Ruble also got a league of land from the Mexican government - in Falls County, Texas; however during Indian uprisings he and family lived in Montgomery County/Grimes County. He and family are shown on the census records If the new volume, you mentioned yet to be published, will show some of the early settlers who lived there I thought I should point it out. He got his league with the Robertson Colony. I am interested in knowing the name of your relative who got the league also.
