I am hoping you can help with a brick wall. My gg. grandfather John Madison ABEL m. Una Merilda STUCKEY 1872 Brazos Co, she was from Grimes Co. Oral history is she called George HAMMONDS brother. She was b. ca 1853, could George's mother have been widowed and remarried to a STUCKEY? John and Una moved to Collin Co by 1880, she died 1882 in birth with fourth child Willie Lee Abel. I think they must have kept in touch with Una's relatives in Grimes Co because two of the daughters married there, Ella Jane m. Jim BIRCH ca 1891, and Willie Lee married Hugh BYRNES 1898. Una is said to be buried Van Alstyne Cemetery, Grayson Co TX, John Madison Abel b. BYRNES family cemetery, Mesa TX. Anything sound familiar? Beth Abel Jones
