The spelling of the name, Gressett, seems to have been subject to change. There was a Susan Elizabeth, but probably older than the one you mention. The Gressetts lived around Iola. Another Grissette seems to have married the daughter of William B. Travis. There is a monument to her at the Masonic Cemetery, Chappell Hill, and have been told that she was buried on the property now belonging to the Star of the Republic museum at Old Washington. Ella Esther Turner, daughter of Esta Gressett Turner, married Selser Howard Perry, and lived and died in Grimes Co. Lois Perry Richardson
