Please direct any answers to Linda Jewell at [email protected] <<Recently, I received some oral history of my great, great-grandmother. In this, she said she was born in Anderson (Grimes County). Her maiden name was Louise Brown. In her history, she said she grew up on a place her parents called "Rose Hill." I don't know her parents surnames, but she was born in 1856. She had two brothers and two sisters. She was sent to Baylor Female Seminary and then eventually graduated from Baylor. She had a sister named Evaline. Her father raised corn and cotton. I realize how scant my own information is but hopefully there may be some information about the Brown family. She was also married at her home in Anderson. She said a Baptist preacher came to their home to perform the ceremony. She married John William Baker of Waco, Texas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Linda Jewell>>
