The town of Navasota in Grimes Co. is built on the old DAN ARNOLD Mexican Land Grant. Daniel and his family lived in the area from the late 1820's thru the 1840's, and his daughter Asena and her husband Alexander Thompson died in the area between 1830-1839. Does anyone know of an old Arnold family cemetery anywhere around Navasota?? I would assume that they lived closer to the Navasota river. There is an Arnold family cemetery west of San Antonio where one of Daniels sons, his mother, and other family members are buried, so it seems that they did tend toward family cemeteries. I am looking for a burial site for Asena and Alexander Thompson. Joanne
