Stover and had additional children Flaurie E. ALVERSON—born in Louisiana; married William James McCleney October 30, 1877 in Grimes Co., TX; had one son, Luther Henry McCleney by William; was said to have died from a fall from a wagon, source unknown Susan C. GRISSETT—born February 1869 in TX (LDS); married William James McCleney August 14, 1884; had several children with William James McCleney: Sarah Anne, Albenie Elizabeth “Lizzie”, Tommie Eugene, James Thomas, William D., John Shaw, Mary Josephine, Samuel Plummer, Homer, and Dock Milton; Susan died February 30, [sic] 1920. Jennie E. CHANEY—born November 29, 1879 in Iola, Grimes Co., TX; was married to Luther Henry McCleney. died February 24, 1971 in Harris Co., TX; SS# 465-05-0570; Comment: Had a sister named Ella Chaney. Jennie was married 4 times, had children by other marriages including Annie Bevly?, and Elmer Lee Bevly? m: A. L. Bevly in Madison Co., TX April 1905, married a man named Childress, name at death was Jennie E. Childress Julia Mahala RUMBY—born October 14, 1880 in Grimes Co., TX; Father: Royal A. Rumby; Mother: Mahala Williams (Native American); married Luther Henry McCleney; had several children with Luther Henry McCleney: Roy Andrew, Flaurie Mahala, George William, Jack, and Richard Dyer; raised on a plantation, died August 8, 1958 of cancer; buried in Plantersville Cemetery, Plantersville, TX next to Luther Henry McCleney; She is listed as Julia ANN Rumby on the birth certificates of several of her children. I am also interested in finding any information on the DARDEN family, specifically any references to Eunice McCleney Darden and Polly S. McCleney Darden, both of whom were married before 1850 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. Polly was believed to have lived in Hinds County, Missippi in the 1850s. Also looking for information about Sarah/Sally McClenny HINES, wife of Willis Hines, married before 1850 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia.
