Michael Kepler recently informed me that there is a Shiro Preservation and Historical Society meeting each month at the Shiro United Methodist Church. From their website: "The Shiro Preservation and Historical Society (SPS) consists of individuals with an interest in the history of Shiro, Texas. SPS has worked to help improve the Shiro Town Park and to document the history of the families who have lived in Shiro, Texas. Meetings are held the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. and all are welcome. The meetings are at the Shiro United Methodist Church on Mayfield Street."
