My husband is a great-grandson of his oldest son, James Henry Sikes. Would love to hear from others of this family, or of his brother, Napoleon B. Sikes' family, or if anyone knows more information about descendants of other siblings, such as Fletcher Sikes, Walter Brown Sikes (moved to Brazos County), Mary Emily Sikes (married J.D. Vernon). NB Sikes had a son named Walter A. Sikes, with daughter, Lois L. Sikes who married Delma R. Posey, so if anyone knows any Posey's they may be from this bunch.. Also was a William Leroy Sikes, son of NB Sikes. There was a Nancy Sikes b. 1850, a William W. Sikes b. 1852 and a John A. Sikes also that were sons of WIlliam Matthew Sikes, whose descendants I haven't been able to trace. If anyone knows about any of these folks feel free to pass this message on to them.
