******Please direct any answers to Carole Hutchison at <[email protected]>****** Eleanor Colson << Hi, I am trying to find out more about my great-grandfather, Carroll Tyler Prather Duval Harn, who lived in Grimes County some of the time between 1865 and 1876. He died in Navasota on Oct. 17, 1876. (He probably only used part of his name, i.e. on his marriage bond in Virginia & in the Confederate army he used C. Tyler Harn.) According to family records he was a Justice of Peace there and served in the Texas legislature during that period of time. He also was awarded honorary Col. by the Lone Star State of Texas for his service. If you have any suggestions that would help direct my search, I'd appreciate them. Thank you for your time & help.
