Beckwith b. c1844 in Indiana. They moved their family down to Grimes Co TX by 1870. One daughter, Jerusha Beckwith, m. John Thomas Bullock, son of Hosea Bullock of Montgomery Co 1840. Hosea Bullock m. Mrs. Mary Walker, widow of John C. Walker, d. 1842.
