    2. Thaya, From Grimes co cemetery book #4 Oakland cemetery Hugh Hamill Wilson US Army Confederate tombstone & Master Mason 9 Jan 1838 - 24 Dec 1913 J. F. Martin C.S.A. 1844 - 1918 ( same cemetery) In another section of this book (no cemetery given) Mrs H. H. Wilson age 70 yrs 7 mos 3days died 22 Feb 1917 From Grimes co Cemetery book #2 p 251 & 252 Joshua Hadley born 1786 NC - died 1845 in a fall from a horse He was buried there on the Hadley land. ( Roans Prairie) Now the Hadley land was sold to two Ratliff brothers( Lorenzo & Benjamin Franklin Ratliff (my line) ) I have been there several times & have only seen a Ratliff cemetery on the hill. The book does go on to say, At the death of Joshua Hadley, he left a widow Joyce Vickers Floyd Hadley & 3 children -Joshua, Floyde, & Anthony D as well as 2 stepsons, David B. Floyd & James Vickers Floyd. Joyce later married Hugh McGuffin The book states another burial would be there with Hadley. ( The following is data from "Early History of Grimes co" by Blair, a copy of which is in the Navasota library - Grimes co ,Tx ) Obedience Grantham Hadley born 1800 NC or Tenn. She was the first wife of Joshua Hadley. Their land application was dated Feb 1831. They had 5 children - Denny Porterfield, Travis King, Caroline, Grantham H, & Henry F. Obedience G.
