Researching: Wingfields & Wallaces in Grimes Co.: If someone has the cemetery books of Grimes Co., please check to see if you have listed a Sarah Stephens or a Sarah Sterling who died April 12, 1861. She was first married to Owen Wingfield, then to James M. Stephens in 1837, and then to Lorenzo Sterling in 1842 in Washington Co. She did have land next to the Elizabeth Wallace estate (part of the O. Wingfield headright) in Grimes Co. in 1852, so she may have continued to use the name of Stephens after the death of /or seperation from Sterling. Thanks in advance, Sharron Godwin
