(Although he spelled his name with an "i", Wilkinson.) My grandfather had said that he was born in "Grimes Prairie," Grimes County, Texas, but I did not find that. Did this information come from a census list? Do you have any other information on this community? Where is it near? Was there a cemetery there? love joan
