The Grimes Co, TX Marriage Index, p 193 lists: Neeley, J.W. and Cryer, F.C. Cryer, 08 Sept 1870, Vol. J #250. I have a copy of this license if you would like a copy, I would be glad to mail it to you. You probably know that John Wesley Neeley was the son of John Neeley and Lila Dorinda Mize. John Neeley was a brother of Houston Neeley, my husband's gr gr grandfather. There is an interesting Mize-Cryer marriage that I have not quite figured out. Lila D. Mize had a brother Samuel Peter Mize, his son James Nelson Mize, Sr married a Letecia Cryer and I'm sure there's a connection with Frances Cryer. I have lots of Neeley info, will be glad to share.
