Eleanor Colson My great, great grandfather founded the "Harmony Baptist Church" in 1856 located on Harmony Hill in Navasota, Texas.  Our family and church reunion have been existing for nearly 100 years every first Sunday in August. For several years the Church has been closed and falling apart along with the grounds unattended. I visited the grounds this past July since both my parents are buried in the church cemetery.  I have been living in Nashville, TN for nearly ten years and I would like to know if you could help me found out if the Texas Historical Society could provide help in up keep for the church and the surrounding church grounds since it is in the historical society.  The marker from the society was put on the church grounds in 1979. I understand from relatives in Navasota that the church could be torn down. Please advise or direct me to the person that might assist me if there are funding through the historical society to keep the church established and the grounds attended to. With many thanks.
