On his social security application he said that he had been born in Grimes Co. He is found in Montgomery Co. by 1917 where he is selling property. In this instance his name was spelled CHILDERS & CHILDRESS. John married Sulula DEAN JOHNSON in 1922 in Montgomery Co. His death occured in 1970.
