From: Karen Lawless Date: 10/13/04 13:35:45 To: Relppek Subject: Greenwood genealogy Hi Jane! I was contacted by a gentleman here in Kingwood who has been researching an old cemetery in Grimes Co. He's identified a Rev. War patriot, Henry Bailey Greenwood, who is buried there along with another patriot (Landrum). They are having a dedication ceremony for Landrum next weekend. Henry Greenwood has not previously been identified as a Rev. War Patriot (at least not with DAR) and Mr. McKenna has found evidence that he provided patriot service during the Rev. War. So he's looking for descendants of Henry Bailey Greenwood. This family is written up in the 1981 Montgomery Co. history book on page 319. I thought I'd ask around to see if anyone knows any of the descendants of this family. It appears that many of them settled in the Grimes Co. area and I've suggested that Mr. McKenna check over there as well Thanks!! Hope you're doing okay! Karen Lawless
