His mother is Donna Strange, whom I'm named after, but I don't know where she is, but believe she is still alive. I placed an ad in the Navasota Examineer last week for information, but received nothing, all I want is to talk to someone who knew my father, and my ultimate wish is to have a picture of him. I have his SSN and all the facts concerning his death, but don't know much more than that he was a Merchant Marine at one time. If you have anything, please email me at hav2serv@hotmail.com. I am trying to determine if Ella Mae Reeves, who died 9/24/1979, is my "lost" great-grandmother. We believe her maiden name was STINSON. My Ella was married to Lon E (or Leon or Alonzo) Reeves 23 Oct 1897. They had at least two children, my grandfather Raymond and his brother Claude. The 1850 census for Louisiana, Bienville Parrish, shows Daniel Henderson, age 40, born in Illinois. He is married to Sarah Jane Brice, age 31, from Mississippi. Children are James, Margaret, Robert, Thomas, Marsh***, Hasiltine, and Eliza Jane. Next door lives James Brice, age 57, from Georgia. Possibly her father. I have not found Daniel Henderson's father. If there is information on this, I would appreciate your help. Thanks

Henderson, wife of Richard Preston Brooks, but I couldn't find my printout to be sure. Anyway, in going through some Brooks data, I found that Erma Brooks Johnson claimed that Sarah Henderson's parents were Daniel and Jane Brice Henderson. There is no documentation; she was just writing up family information for another family member. Hope this helps.

Widow Parnell had three daughters - Emma married John Bonds, Martha married Mart Rascoe and unknown daughter married Mr. King. Brown was formerally married to a great great aunt of mine in MS.

I read My Hometown: The Bedias Story, several years ago (owned by Bob Ross also of Bedias, TX). We were shocked to see photos of the Simes family, along with a good deal of history. I know very little about the Wright family of Madisonville, just that my grandmother, Josephine Wright, was born there and lived in the area until her teens. Please let me know. The airplane crash occurred on Saturday the 5th of April, 1930. The Navasota paper at the time did not publish a Sunday edition so this article is from the Monday the 7th of April, 1930. Names involved are H.F. Lindley and Fritz H. Grifno. This article is about 6 paragraphs long – front page 2nd headline.
