    3. Posted on: Grimes Co. Tx Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Grimes/192 Surname: NETTLES, MULDREW, GRESHAM ------------------------- My mother's grandfather, Joseph H. NETTLES, was born in Alabama in 1832. It is said that except for he and a sister (perhaps named Eliza?), the family died in an outbreak of yellow fever. In 1860, Joseph is shown on the Grimes County, Texas, census as living with the J. B. GRESHAM family, but nothing is known of his sister. In 1861 he enlisted with the Grimes County Grays. Supposedly his sister married a man named MULDREW. Mom says she can remember visiting with her father's aunt and uncle, "...on the river, down towards Houston", but can't remember just where. That was somewhere around 1925. Her dad bought a load of horses from his uncle. We would like to know more about our family. If any of this rings bells with anyone, please let us hear from you. Thanks, Bobby

Tx Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Grimes/188 Surname: Price, Hobbs ------------------------- I am searching for information about my great grandfather. His name was J. H. Price. In the 1880 census he lived in Waller County. He married S. A. Hobbs (Susie) from Grimes County about 1875. Their first child, Annie Price, was born Oct. 4, 1876 in Montgomery County, the second, James Henry Price, was born June 29, 1882 in Beaumont, Tx. and Jessie James Price, my grandfather, was born in Navasota, Tx. on April 24, 1884. Sometime between 1884 and 1890 his wife, S. A. Hobbs, died and he remarried. Shortly after he remarried he was killed in a gun fight in Honea, Montgomery Co.,Tx. in a dispute over wages. He was working for the railroad. I am trying to find any information, especially when he died or when S. A. Hobbs died or where either may be buried. Any information about them or their parents would be greatly appreciated.
