    3. Does anyone have any information on Nic Thomas (4 pers)that came to America on 19 Sep 1850? I have found information from the passanger list, that they arrived in Galveston on The Bremen Ship "ESTAFETTE" departed from Bremen, showing they were from Neufilzen? The names below his are Kiefer, Cath and Kiefer, F.Z., both from Muelheim/Nosel,W.G. Altogether 58 persons on the ship. The list wasTranslated and transliterated by: Bernard F. Kneuper from "Allgemeine Auswanderer Zeitung" 3 Oct 1850. List found by Eva Lembcke, Hamburg. Vic is the gr grandfather of my deceased husband, and my children's gr gr grandfather. Vic is listed as Nicolav on his daughter's(Catharinam) Baptimsmal records from St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg,Colorado County, Tx on 5 Aug 1852). Nic was married to Anna Maria "Mary" Kiefer and their first two children Joseph and Peter, were born before coming to the states and the 4 daughters Catharina, Laura, Elizabeth and Ann M., all born in Texas. Their son Peter married Lucy Hood 22 Dec 1870 in Brazos Co.,Tx., and had 6 known children. Peter served as Justice of the Peace and as County Commissioner in Brazos Co., and was a Mason. The children were: Joseph married Ida ?, Ada married ?Sample, Nora no information, Lou married ? Martin, Lizzie, no information and William"Willie" Elzie married Una Mae Singletary, I believe in Grimes Co., around 1915 and they had 12 children. Willie was born April 1894 and died of cancer 7 Jun 1942 in Baytown Harris Co., Tx.. Willie went to work at Humble Oil (now EXXON) around 1926. I have information on the descendants of Willie and Una, but would really like to know more about Nic and Mary. I believe Nic was born in Prussia(Neufelden,Austria), about 1825 and died in Tabor, Brazos Co.,Tx., date unknown. Mary born in 1820 died in 1895 in Tabor,Brazos Co.,Tx.. I believe Mary was the daughter of Joseph Kiefer. I would like to know how, Cath and F. Z. Kiefer, that came over on the ship with them were related to Anna Maria"Mary" (Kiefer) Thomas. Can anyone tell me how to find out where Vic and Mary lived in Austria and why they came to America? I believe they married around 1847, because of the birth of their 2 sons. Peter was born in 1848 and Joseph in early1850. Any information would be of great help. Thanks in advance Would also like to learn more about Una Mae Singletary(d/o William Singletary and Bette), born in Mesa, Grimes Co.,9 Nov 1898 died 18 Jan 1957 in Baytown,Harris Co.,Tx., married William "Willie"Thomas around 1915 in Grimes Co.Tx..
