Regular Meeting of East Texas Genealogical Society, Tyler, TX Saturday, July 8, 2006 Tyler Public Library - Taylor Auditorium 2:00 p.m. Speaker: Tresa Tatyrek Program: "So You Want To Put Your Research On The Internet" Do you want to make contact with others working on your family research or share with family members that you already know about? In either case, the internet makes it easier to share and update your information if you keep in mind a few simple rules. Tresa Tatyrek's presentation will go over those rules. She will discuss places to put your information and ways of presenting that information. She will show you different software tools to use. Tresa Tatyrek has given presentations on a variety of genealogical topics to different societies including using the genealogy program Family Tree Maker, the Internet, Courthouse Research, and Research Trip Preparation. She teaches a special interest group on Family Tree Maker once a month. Tresa does volunteer work for several groups in the Dallas area. In 2005 she was name Volunteer of the Year by the Dallas Genealogy Society. In 2004 the Grapevine Library also named her as Volunteer of the Year. She served as President of the Dallas Genealogical Society for three years and continues to be involved with the organization. She is involved with Grapevine Namedroppers, a member of the Cross Timbers Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and of the National Genealogical Society.
