London Reunion On Tap March 18-20 From the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Saturday, February 19, 2005, Page 2B: The Ex-Students Reunion of London High School will be held Friday, March 18 through Saturday, March 20 in New London and Longview. The reunion is sponsored by the London Ex-Student Reunion and Memorial Association, Inc. The public is invited to attend. Weekend activities begin from 2-11 p.m. March 18 at the Gregg County Exhibit Building in Longview on Jaycee Drive. Dinner will be catered from 6:30-8 p.m., and live music will be provided by Bobby & Ken from 7-10 p.m. Registration for all ex-students will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at West Rusk High School in New London, continuing until the general meeting at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:30-1 p.m. with class meetings held anywhere from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., organizers said. The 5th Alumni Showcase will present London exes performing songs and dances in a talent show beginnings at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the West Rusk High School Auditorium. Those wishing to participate in the "Show of Shows" are asked to call Bill and Danita Utsman at (903) 757-3125. Tickets are $5, and proceeds will benefit the London Museum. A catered dinner will be served from 6:30-8 p.m. March 19 at the Gregg County Exhibit Building. Live music and dancing will be provided by The Stanley Band from 7:30-10:30 p.m. The 2005 Memorial Service honoring those who lost their lives in the 1937 London school explosion is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday, March 20. Eric Holleyman, the son of a survivor, will be guest speaker. Reservations for the weekend's activities are required before March 4. Cancellation will be refunded only if made before March 4.
