I am trying to learn what happened to Georgia Harper (b. 1878 in Georgia), daughter of Thomas B. and Mary (Wester) Harper. The story handed down through the years was that Georgia became pregnant and was "turned out" of her home. She has been located in the 1900 census for Longview, Gregg County. I believe her family lived in Rusk County at the time. She is listed as a boarder with a one-year old daughter named Eula M. Georgia cannot be found in Texas in 1910, but Eula M. Harper is listed in Dallas County as an "inmate" at Buckner's Orphans' Home. The only record received from Buckner indicates Georgia gave Eula up for adoption in 1902, listing Eula's father as Willis Kuykendall. Georgia's sister, Lucy, married Owen Kuykendall.
