Hi, this is my first time to post on Grayson. Below is my lineage & I am wondering if any Hightowers in Grayson County are researching this line. I am particularly interested in information on my great-grandmother, Alabama "Bama" Joyce Shelton Gray (She was married to a Mr. Gray before marrying Thomas Preston Hightower). I am seeking info on her as well as her first husband. They had one child that I know of, Jack Gray. I know he had a wife (unknown) & a daughter named Joycie. Alabama was Thomas Preston's #3 wife. JOSHUA (1643), thru his son JOSHUA (1670), wife, Eleanor Charnold, thru their son CHARNELL (1694), wife Sarah Stone Glascock, thru their son JOSHUA (1741), wife, Mary Polly Puckett thru their son THOMAS (1772), wife, Elizabeth B. Pollard, thru their son CHARNELL C., Sr. (1796), wife, Elon Watts, thru their son THOMAS PRESTON (1817) & #3 wife, Alabama ("Bama") Joyce Shelton (Gray), thru their son JOSEPH HAMPTON MADISON (1874), wife Mary Jane Wilkerson ("Mimie"), thru their son REUBEN BUTLER (1909), wife Eula Bert Phillips (1910), my parents...
