For Zella: I have found Texas History Departments in libraries have county histories with the information we need of the early days. The early Plat Books, etc, but they usually have to be asked for and brought from back rooms - some are on microfilm. Of course, some county histories are in the Genealogy Departments. There were Indian raids in Cooke Co TX. FYI: There is a Dixie Cemetery two or three miles north of Whitesboro Grayson Co TX.
