PAT PATTEN SHREVEPORT,LA. ----- Original Message ----- From: Punkineader@aol.com<mailto:Punkineader@aol.com> To: TXGRAYSO-L@rootsweb.com<mailto:TXGRAYSO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, December 27, 2003 4:00 PM Subject: [GRAYSON] Wilson, Stewart I'm looking for anything on parents, homesteading, origins, etc., for both Willis WILSON b. 11 Jun 1872 in Harrisonville, Cass Co., Missouri m. 8 Jan 1893 in Edhube, Fannin Co., TX to Eula STEWART b. 22 Oct 1874 in Whitewright, Fannin Co., Texas. Their 1st 4 daughters were born in Texas. After the death of their only infant son in 1906, they apparently moved to Oklahoma, as their last 3 daughters were born there. Somebody on the Fannin Co. list recently told me that Whitewright was mostly in Grayson Co. Thus my inquiry here. I've located a James WILSON with wife, Elizebeth, in the 1880 Grand River, Cass Co., MO census with Lanora age 9, Willis age 8 and Eddie age 5 as possible father of Willis. This James and Elizebeth were both born in MO with both sets of their parents born in KY. I've also found a James WILSON m. to Elizabeth CRIST on 6/17/1864 in Caldwell Co., MO. I also found a James WILSON in the Caldwell Co., MO 1883 Pensioners Roll as being from Post Office Kidder with a gsw (gunshot wound) left lung and getting a $18/month pension. Would it be reasonable to assume that this James is definitely the father of Willis? I don't have anything on Eula Stewart's parents at all. Any info on WILSON and STEWART would be very much appreciated.
