Dear List, Seeking information on a JOHNSON man on 1870 Grayson Co. census. He is (and wouldn't you know they only listed initials), E. F. JOHNSON, age 45, white male, b. AL, PO Sherman, Pct. 1 of Grayson Co. His wife is listed as Susan JOHNSON, age 50, white female, also b. AL. In this HH is also one G. E. Shankles, age 13, white female, b. MO. G. E. is Gracie Shankles, an orphan child connected to this JOHNSON line. Gracie's brother, James, b. 1860 MO is shown living with the family of James S. and wife Matilda (JOHNSON) Nelson in the 1870 Dent Co. MO census. I do know that E. F. JOHNSON and Matilda (JOHNSON) Nelson are not siblings. I suspect they are cousins. But who are parents of E. F. JOHNSON in 1870 Grayson Co. Census? Does anybody connect to this man? Longtime JOHNSON researcher. Always willing to exc. info, including old photos. Many thanks, Judy in TX
I noticed your note on Grayson Roll Call. Do you have any Emanuel (Manny) Johnson in your database? b around 1870? He married Neva Nell Blair b. 1898(around 30 yrs his junior) who was born & lived in Grayson Co. I cannot find him anywhere until 1920 & after. Manny and Neva lived in Scurry County, TX and both died there. Thanks a million, C A Blair ----- Original Message ----- From: <JMJE36@aol.com> To: <TXGRAYSO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, December 28, 2003 12:23 PM Subject: [GRAYSON] ROLL CALL: JOHNSON, 1870 > Dear List, > > Seeking information on a JOHNSON man on 1870 Grayson Co. census.
