Sorry didn't find any Bates listed but am wondering if you know where your Bates line originated from - I am related to the Bates in a round about way... 2 of my great grandfather's brothers married Bates girls and one of his sister's married a Bates...The Bates in my family tree are from DeKalb County, TN...any connection?
