Thank you- My Bates lived in Grayson County, Texas from 1900 until they died in the 1970s. I do have one person who still lives there now. Most moved to Oklahoma and then to AZ where I live now. One of my relatives are going to take the DNA test to find out what line they are from. My great grandfather James Mcduffy Bates was born in Caddo Gap Arkansas in 1878. His father is William G. Bates born in Georgia. I have not been able to prove his parents, however, I think they are Dicey and Thomas Jefferson Bates. Only because they had a William that no one can provide details for and my William and him have the same info. Also they were in Caddo Gap at the same time. Again, thanks for looking. Suzie
