Janice I am sorry that you had such a bad experience while researching in Sherman.....When I visited there last fall, I found just the oposite...The Court house people were very friendly, the City Police gave me direction to some cemeteries and there were at least three people in the Genealogy Section of the Library....They did have some books and census that were locked up in shelves near the back, but they helped me with them...they were very friendly and eaven gave me an E-mail address if I wanted to contact them....again, I am sorry for your bad experience and hope that the next time you visit, all will be better....
