Recent posts have given me hope that there may be some records available for the Coffman-Layne Cemetery. On Michael Cross's tombstone transcriptions for this cemetery I found a Maggie Hunt - 1882. The name, date and place make it possible that this could have been my g-grandmother's grave. Since someone said there seem to have been some recent burials in that cemetery, does anyone know if there is someone to whom I could write to see if there are any additional records for this gravesite? Family legend has it that after the death of Sarah Martha (Maggie) Hunt her husband (Green Webster Hunt) took their three small daughters back to Tennessee.
