    3. They are on the shelf. I used them many times to locate quite a few unmarked graves information to add to cemeteries. They have their original books. It also fills in some missing data on broken tombstones. Also Sherman locates its own set of city death books there. Many of those who died in Sherman are only listed in that set of books and didn't make it into the county books. There are some of the 1903-1927 that are on the state level only and are missing from the county so check all the sources. The 1903-1973 index to death/birth and also the delayed births is at the Sherman library on microfilm. If you can't find it look at the index and see where it is listed. susan They are located to the right of the door to the county clerk and later ones you will have to ask for.
