I live in Sherman,Grayson County and will do all I can here.I have long wanted to learn more about the people on the wagon train with my ancestors, the Marshalls and Jarboes. My greatgrandfather John Thomas Marshall would have been a very young boy on that trip ,as he was born in Greene County KY. His first wife was Sarah Lavonia Teague. Sarah Lavonia was the daughter of Franklin Caldwell Teague and Malinda Louisa Newton,so I am wondering if the Teagues and Newtons may have been with that group. In looking back at my records I think perhaps this particular wagon train must have come to Kentuckytown in 1854 rather than 1852,as John Thomas Marshall's birthdate is listed as November 16,1852,Kentucky. On the other hand Sarah Lavonia,s is listed as Feb 8,1856 Kentuckytown TX. This is an exciting project and I am looking forward to working with everyone on it. Our ancestors need to have their story told. I just wish one of them would have helped out a little bit by leaving a detailed daily diary or log book so we could read first hand about all their experiences on the trail.
