I am the great granddaughter of STEPHEN H. COMB LANKFORD, who settled in Grayson County approximately 1880 and is buried in Everheart Cemetery, Grayson County. His son, EDWARD CLARK LANKFORD, was my grandfather, who was killed in 1929 while serving as a Deputy Sheriff in Olney, Archer County, TX. Also, my grandmother, Lona Nancy Jane Garner, was born in Bells, Grayson County, on March 19, 1891. She was the daughter of John D. Garner and Frances Burn.
