Frances If I was a betting man, I would bet that the Restaurant was one operated by the Santa Fe Railroad. In years past I have stayed at RR rooming houses and they had a cafe. It was for RR employees but other folks could use the facilities also. A map would show the railroad and it would have to be in one of the small towns that it goes through. This will eliminate a good part of the county. Most road maps show the RR. It would be at a place where they changed crews for the train. That was the only places they had a cafe and hotel, right by the depot operated by the RR. These were called Junctions. They were all closed down about 15 years (Mid to late 50's) after the steam locomotive went out and was taken over by the desiel electric trains that did not require large crews. In rare cases they were purchased and kept open by privite indivudles.
