Cheryl -- I also would like to see the items you listed recently on the Grayson Co. website. As far as newspapers, I may be able to provide a little insight. My husband's gg grandfather was Bredette Corydon Murray, the editor and publisher of Denison's first newspaper, The Sunday Gazetteer. It was published from about 1890 until about 1915 (I'm relying on my faulty memory, so these dates may not be totally accurate). The Denison Public Library has the papers on microfilm -- but they DO NOT do lookups. The Denison Herald began publication in about 1910, and is still published today. Again, neither the Denison Public Library nor the Denison Herald staffs will do lookups. I believe that the Dallas Public Library MAY have copies of these 2 papers on microfilm, but don't know for sure. There are some great books published on early Denison -- it wouldn't take too much to put a synopsis of them on the website. --Laura
